The aim of the Local Landscape cloud services work package is to develop exemplars that illustrate the opportunities and benefits of using cloud technologies related to the understanding of local environmental issues.
The Local Landscape work package is developing three local exemplars using existing environmental data, models and knowledge to create a new Landscape Learning and Visualisation Tool. This tool is being used to illustrate the opportunities for use of cloud computing to improve communication between local communities, environmental researchers and regulators, and so to help improve decision making within a local context.
This work package is working closely with local communities in the selected catchments. You can find out here how to Get Involved, or find out more by getting in touch with Prof Phil Haygarth who is leading this work package.
